Riga Fashion Week SS25, celebrating its 20th anniversary, once again showcased the dynamic development of the Latvian fashion industry and reinforced Riga’s growing importance in the global fashion landscape. This event, the largest in the Baltic States, brought together top designers, each of whom contributed something unique to the fashion presentations.
The collections presented at the event were not only about high fashion but also highlighted a strong commitment to sustainable production and environmental awareness. Let’s take a closer look at what surprised the guests of Fashion Week this season.

SZCZYGIEL
SZCZYGIEL’s “Resort” collection embodies a balance between modern design and natural elegance. The use of recycled materials and light tones creates an image of sustainable fashion, where each look carries a message of environmental care. The foundation of the collection lies in mindfulness principles, including the use of deadstock fabrics, making each garment both beautiful and eco-conscious.

VERENS
The “Surprise” collection by Verens is filled with bright colors and dynamic layering, symbolizing youth and energy. Cotton suits with vests, linen dresses with voluminous coats, and knitted dresses with shine and draping create a harmonious style, while also offering comfort. In collaboration with European stylists, the brand’s designer combines style and comfort in every piece.

CAROLXOTT
The new collection reflects the spirit of the fishing industry of Northern Estonia. The rich history of the S. Kirov fishery, founded in 1947, served as the main inspiration. The designs feature hints of workwear, coastal nature, and details reminiscent of fishermen’s tools and techniques, The collection celebrates the resilience of island life where nature and traditions shape each piece, creating clothing that feels both modern and deeply connected to its roots, Alongside the garments, creative eyewear by innovative designer Tün Nelemans, 3D-printed, will be showcased.

IVETA VECMANE
Iveta Vecmane’s collection, created in collaboration with her daughter Hanna, continues the “Melancholia” series, exploring the equation with the unknown X. X is not just a number; it is a value that changes depending on the environment. The garments delve into the contradictions of good and evil, creating a wealth of imagery that highlights the dialogue between modernity and tradition. Each element of the collection serves as a form of self-expression and reflection on life.

LAURA DAILI
The Lithuanian brand Laura Daili draws inspiration from the luxury and style of the Baroque period. The collection successfully combines elements of the historical past, such as porcelain fragments and glass accessories, with modern fashion trends. The designer believes that fashion is fragile like glass, but unyielding like time, and that the search for identity and authenticity has become a key trend of our time.

NATALIJA JANSONE
Natalija Jansone’s new collection honors the individuality of each person. The Pohjanheimo collection stands out with its use of fabrics from Italy and Japan, sourced from suppliers who have been working with cashmere, silk, and cotton for generations. The brand’s design team emphasizes a completely waste-free production process. “In our Tallinn atelier, we preserve the designs of products from the 1970s. Every sleeve, leg, trim, or collar ever created is drawn on pattern paper and securely stored, serving as inspiration for new ideas,” shares the brand’s designer.

Selina Keer’s “Feminine Codes” collection is inspired by the architecture of Alberta Street in Riga and motifs from the south of France. It blends elegance with practicality, offering stylish and refined clothing that transcends time. STOCKMANN X LILI MARLEENA
The collection created in collaboration with LILI MARLEENA and STOCKMANN combines elegance with festive joy. These pieces are produced in limited quantities and follow the “one size fits all” principle. Fabrics used for the collection are sourced from Italian manufacturers’ remnants, underscoring the brand’s commitment to eco-friendly practices. The looks are designed by stylist Sergeis Hatanzeiskis, the creator of VOLGA 2.0, adding a modern touch to classic styles.
